Terms and Conditions

1.       Introduction
 
1.1   By becoming a member of London Green Points - Havering you are becoming a member of Green Rewards, who run the Member Scheme. This is operated by Green Leaning Limited trading as Green Rewards. By becoming a Member of Green Rewards you accept the terms and conditions as set out below.
 
1.2   For more information about your Green Rewards account please contact us on 0207 326 5055 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm), via email at [email protected] or via post at 141 – 147 Acre Lane, London, SW2 5UA. We aim to respond to written enquiries within 3 working days.
 
2.       Joining London Green Points - Havering
 
2.1  In order to become a member of London Green Points - Havering you must be 18 years of age and resident in a property within the London Borough of Havering.
 
2.2   To create an account you must register through the London Green Points - Havering website, www.havering.localgreenpoints.com, by calling us on 0207 326 5055 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm) or by returning a Freepost Activation Form. Freepost Activation Forms are mailed to all eligible households upon launch of the scheme or can be requested by contacting us using the details above.
 
2.3  Upon registration you will be asked to provide personal information about yourself. We will handle this information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. It is your responsibility to ensure that any information you supply is accurate and kept up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your account, cancel any Green Points earned and refuse access to the website at any point if we suspect that the information you provide is inaccurate.
 
2.4   If, upon registering, you find that your correct address is not listed on the registration form please contact us via [email protected]. If your address is proven to be accurate and eligible for the scheme we will make any efforts necessary to allow you to register an account. If, upon investigation, your address is falsified or falls outside of the boundaries of the London Borough of Havering we reserve the right to refuse membership.
 
2.5   We reserve the right to refuse membership without liability for any reason.
 
2.6   There can only be ONE account registered per household. If there are multiple persons living in your household please designate a single account holder and assign them the responsibility of accurately recording the activity for your entire household. In the event of a second account being registered at your address, the older account will be deactivated and we will notify you of this. If you believe this deactivation has taken place in error, please contact us using the contact details provided in that email.
 
2.7   The named account holder is responsible for all transactions that take place on the account, for ensuring that the account details are accurate and that your account is not accessed by anyone other than yourself.
 
3.      Earning Green Points
 
3.1   Through London Green Points - Havering you will be able to earn ‘Green Points’ for taking certain actions, as communicated on our website. We reserve the right to change the actions and the amount of points that you earn for taking actions at any point.
 
3.2   The specific actions, earning rates and frequency for which you can earn Green Points are displayed on the London Green Points - Havering website and it is your responsibility to ensure that you understand this.
 
3.3   For actions which are only eligible to be awarded a certain number of times within a defined time period, we reserve the right to reject the award of Green Points if you exceed the allowed number. You may raise a dispute about any rejections by emailing us at [email protected]. After investigating your claim any decision we make to award or not to award Green Points is final.
 
3.4   Whilst we will endeavour to award Green Points in a timely manner, we are not liable for any delay in awarding Green Points that may arise.
 
3.5   We will award Green Points to members according to the amount of waste and recycling produced in the Local Authority area or defined community. The rate at which you earn Green Points for this is defined by the Local Authority and subject to change or alteration at any point. These Green Points will be awarded on an ad hoc basis and are not subject to any time limitations or defined schedule. We are not liable for the accuracy of the data provided to us by the Local Authority.
 
3.6   You can earn Green Points by shopping in the Green Rewards eShop where Green Points are earned on the cash element of transactions (i.e. not on vouchers or Green Points spent). This is 10 Green Points earned for every £1 spent. We reserve the right to vary theamount of Green Points issued for cash spent at any time.
 
3.7   You may also earn Green Points for submitting reviews of the products available in the Green Rewards eShop. The current rate is 100 Green Points for each review. We reserve the right to moderate reviews and may reject reviews at any time and for any reason.
 
3.8   Green Points are non-transferrable. There is no cash alternative. Green Points do not expire.
 
4.      Spending Green Points
 
4.1   Green Points have a cash value when spent in the Green Rewards eShop or donated to charity. That is 400 Green Points = £1. We reserve the right to change the value of Green Points at any point and will give you reasonable notice of our intention to do so.
 
4.2   Green Points can be spent in the Green Rewards eShop, where they can be used to purchase a range of sustainable products.
 
4.3   The price and availability of products in the Green Rewards eShop is subject to change at any time. If you place an order for a product that is subsequently found to be out of stock then your order will be cancelled and refunded. We cannot part-refund orders and can only refund the order via the same method of payment used to make the purchase (i.e. orders paid in Green Points may only be refunded as Green Points back to your account)

5.      Donating to charity
 
5.1  Green Points may be donated to charity at the rate of 400 Green Points = £1. We reserve the right to change the value of Green Points at any point and will give you reasonable notice of our intention to do so.
 
5.2   Green Points can only be donated to the charities featured on the London Green Points – Havering website. These charities will change periodically and we will notify you of any changes. There are no alternative charities that you can donate your Green Points to.
 
5.3   Donations are final and non-refundable.
 
5.4 Members can nominate a charity they would like to automatically donate any Green Points earned to by visiting https://havering.localgreenpoints.com/autodonate and filling in the form. Any Green Points that you earn from the date of submitting your ‘autodonate’ set-up request will then be automatically donated to your chosen charity. To cancel your autodonate instruction or change the charity to which your Green Points are donated to please contact [email protected] or call us on 0207 326 50555 (Mon – Fri, 9am – 5:30pm).
 
5.5   If the charity which you are set up to automatically donate your Green Points to ceases to be part of the scheme, your autodonate instruction will be cancelled and you will return to accruing Green Points as normal.
 
6.      Retail partner offers
 
6.1   Through the scheme we may make available to members a range of discounts and special offers at local participating retailers. To take up the offers, members will need to either mention the scheme on the phone, enter a discount code online or show their London Green Points - Havering card in store at a participating retailer.
 
6.2   Members are issued a London Green Points - Havering card by post within 28 days of their registration. If you have not received your card or it has been misplaced, please contact us at [email protected] or call us on 0207 326 50555 (Mon – Fri, 9am – 5:30pm) to request a replacement.
 
6.3   Each offer is set by the owner of that business and is subject to change at any time. Details of each offer for individual businesses are available on the London Green Points - Havering website and the Local Rewards app. We will endeavour to keep these listings as up to date as possible.
 
6.4   We are not responsible for the refusal of any offers by individual businesses, but if this happens, please contact us at [email protected] or by calling 0207 326 5055 (Mon – Fri, 9am – 5:30pm) where we will contact the business owner to discuss.
 
7.      Email communications
 
7.1   As part of the scheme, and in order to communicate with you about your participation and performance in the scheme, you will receive email communications to the email address that you provided at sign up. These will include: service emails (registration confirmation, password reset, deactivation etc.) and monthly newsletters.
 
7.2. You can unsubscribe from email communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link featured in each email or by contacting us at [email protected] or by calling 0207 326 5055 (Mon – Fri, 9am – 5:30pm.
 
8.      Maintaining your account
 
8.1   You are responsible for making sure that the information on your account is correct. You
can check your account details and make changes by clicking the ‘My Account’ button in the top right hand corner of the page once you are logged in.
 
8.2   You are responsible for notifying us of any change of address. If you move within the London Borough of Havering then your account details can be updated and you will continue to earn Green Points as part of the scheme. If you move outside of the Borough then your account will be deactivated and you will no longer be able to participate in the scheme. Your account will remain as a Green Rewards account until such a time as you instruct us to close it.
 
8.3   You can close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or by calling 0207 326 5055 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm)
 
8.4   You are responsible for the security of your account and the log in details used to access your online account information. You should notify us immediately if you suspect that someone else knows your log in details so that we can suspend your account pending issuance of new log in information. We will not be responsible if any of your Points are altered by someone else in possession of your log in details.
 
9.      Collection and use of data
 
9.1   The data we collect and the ways in which we use it are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
 
9.2   Any information collected from you will be treated in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (2018).
 
10.   Miscellaneous
 
10.1 We may make changes to these Terms and Conditions and will give you as much notice as we reasonable can as to these changes. Activity on your account after such a notification will
